When is it best to have our session?
The first couple of days of your stay is a great time to have your session! Scheduling your session for early in your stay will give more opportunities to coordinate in case bad weather requires us to reschedule.
What is the best time of day for families with young children?
Morning sessions are typically best when they're still bright-eyed, happy, and ready to conquer the day! Plus, as a bonus to your photographer, children tend to be more amicable to taking posing suggestions after they've had a good nights rest!
What should we wear to our session?
We're currently developing a visual style guide for our clients. In the meantime, here are some great points you can use to inform your photoshoot styling choices.
1. Opt for Light and Breathable Fabrics:
Since beach photography sessions are often held during warm weather, it's important to choose light and breathable fabrics that will keep you comfortable. Consider wearing cotton, linen, or lightweight chiffon materials that will allow air to flow freely and prevent you from feeling too hot or sweaty.
2. Embrace Whites/Neutrals and Accent with Color:
Beaches are known for their vibrant colors, so why not incorporate that into your wardrobe? Opt for neutrals coupled with bright and pastel accents that will pop against the natural backdrop of the beach. Think of colors like turquoise, coral, or mint green to add a touch of playfulness and freshness to your photos. You can also gain inspiration from the Pantone 2023 New York Fashion Week color palette. Their Spring/Summer Core Classics are always a timeless choice!
3. Coordinate Your Outfits:
Coordinate your outfits with your family members to create a cohesive look. You don't need to wear matching outfits, but choosing complementary colors or patterns can add visual interest to your photos. Avoid clashing patterns or colors that may distract from the overall aesthetic.
4. Go for Casual and Comfortable:
Beach photography sessions are typically more casual and laid-back, so opt for relaxed and comfortable clothing. Consider wearing flowy sundresses, linen shirts, khaki shorts, or lightweight slacks. Avoid clothing that is too tight or restrictive as it may make you feel uncomfortable during the photoshoot.
5. Consider Beach-Appropriate Footwear:
Opt for footwear that is appropriate for the beach, such as sandals, flip-flops, or barefoot.
How many photos will be in my online gallery?
Typically, clients can expect to have between 30 to 50 curated photos in their online gallery.
The exact number varies depending on normal conditions such as: the session duration, number of subjects, variety of locations, weather and lighting conditions, and cooperation and engagement of the subjects.
What editing is included?
Standard editing includes edits such as color and light optimization, small blemish removal, removing people or items from the background, etc.
We are also able to accommodate more substantial editing requests. However, those types of edits may incur an additional fee.
When will I receive photos?
You'll be sent a link to your online gallery 5-7 business days after your photoshoot.
You can download photos, purchase print products, and share photos directly from your gallery!

The Kiawah Sands Photography Satisfaction Guarantee is a 100% money-back guarantee on all our sessions.
Please review the terms below.
Terms:
1. The Kiawah Sands Photography Satisfaction Guarantee only applies to the initial purchase of your session and does not apply to purchases made through your online gallery.
2. Your scheduled session must be completed to qualify for the Kiawah Sands Photography Satisfaction Guarantee.
3. Downloading any digital file from your online gallery by you or anyone you've shared it with is considered an agreement that you are satisfied, and no refund will be granted.
4. Any purchase made through your gallery by you or anyone you've shared it with is considered an agreement that you are satisfied, and no refund will be granted.
5. All refund requests must be submitted via email within 24 hours of your online gallery being sent to you. Requests will be reviewed within 3 days submission. Qualifying refunds will be issued back via the payment method used to book the session. Additional processing times may apply depending on payment method and credit card provider.

6. Once you've submitted a refund request and it's been approved, your gallery will be archived and no longer accessible. Any downloads or purchases made through your gallery after you've requested a refund will void your refund request.
What is your cancellation policy?
We ask that you cancel as soon as you know you won't be able to commit to your scheduled session. Cancellations require a 24-hour notice to receive a refunded; otherwise, no refund will be granted.
Cancellations due to inclement weather or other acts of god will be rescheduled or refunded if another time cannot be agreed upon.
